Privacy Policy

IN GENERAL

  1. Introduction. Eagleionline, publisher of Eagleionline.com and those who may be affiliated from Eagleionline from time to time, are committed to maintaining the privacy of personal information that you provide to us when using or visiting the content available through the Eagleionline.com domain name (collectively, the “Website”). This Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information received about you when you use or visit the Website.

  1. Scope. We may make content or services from other websites available to you from links located on the Website. These other websites are not subject to this Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the privacy policy at each such Web site to determine how that site protects your privacy.

In order to access the entire website, including the ability to post articles (though not comments), users must register for an account, which will provide the registrant with full access to the website, including “write access.” When you register, and at other times, we collect personally identifiable information from you that may include your name, a valid and active e-mail address and similar information. We do not, however, knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen.

  1. Generally. Eagleionline affords users with many opportunities to tell the greater Boston College Law School community what you think and to read what other readers have to say. For example, Eagleionline offers some users the ability to post outlines or to write articles and comment on articles (collectively, “User Submissions”). Any personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data that you disclose through a User Submissions or through any other feature of the Website (including but not limited to outlines, articles, comments, surveys and online marketplaces), may be collected and used by others. Such use may be out of Eagleionline’s control. Eagleionline recommends caution when giving out personal information to others in all public online forums.

  1. Other Websites. Eagleionline encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to visit via hyperlinks posted on this website so that you can understand how those web sites collect, use and share your information. Eagleionline is not responsible for the privacy policies or other content on third-party websites accessed through Eagleionline’s website.

If you choose to create a profile on Eagleionline.com or if you choose to register for an account, you will be required to select a password. This password can be changed at any time after you first log into the service by using your current password. You must keep your password confidential and you must not share this information with anyone. If you share a computer with anyone, you should always log out of the website before leaving it to prevent access to your information from subsequent users of that computer.

CHILDREN
