Share Your Thoughts and Suggestions with Eaglei…

Eaglei would like your input regarding what content you would like to see on the site.  The Eaglei staff tries to provide as varied an assortment of topics that may be of interest to you as possible.  In addition to articles, Eaglei also has some other features you might not have checked out yet, and we are always looking to expand and improve… Staff writers and other contributors have submitted articles ranging from the dating scene, reviews of local restaurants and current films, and information regarding campus events, to updates on the dean search, Supreme Court cases, and other current legal news.  Let us know what you have enjoyed reading and what you would like to see more of.  What are we missing?  What topics/regular columns would you find helpful or entertaining…

In addition to articles, Eaglei also offers some other features you may be unaware of that might be of interest to you.  For example, through Eaglei, students have the ability to submit and share class outlines with each other.  This system can be searched by professor or class, and available outlines can be downloaded.  I have found this helpful in the past as a 1L when I had no idea what a proper outline should look like.  Have you used the outline database before?  Any suggestions as to possible improvements that would make it more useful to you?

Along with the Outline Database, Eaglei also offers a Campus Calendar, a Carpool Map to promote environmentally-friendly transportation and money saving by hooking students who commute from the same area up with one another, and a Classifieds section where readers can search for and post ads for housing, roommates, textbooks and jobs.  Have any of these features been of use to you?  If not, why not?  Let us know what we could do to improve them.  What other offerings would you like to see in the future?  Let’s spitball here in the comments section.

Eaglei exists to benefit and to hopefully entertain you.  Please help us do so as effectively as possible by sharing your feedback below…

  1. Write more about things that happen at the school (events, speakers, excursions, administration policy decisions and programming), and other things that affect the everyday lives and future of BCLS students.

  2. I asked a friend what would make her come to the website and she said “Comics.” I think if someone could write a comic about BC Law or legal issues, that would be a great addition.

    • Thanks for the interesting suggestion. Now all we need is a little artistic talent. Know anyone who might be interested?

  3. Writers of Eagleionline not feeling the need to personally address every comment written on Eagleionline?

  4. Remedial writing classes for contributors. Editorial discretion would be good, too. A lot of what makes its way on to these pages is drivel.

  5. Can you post the grade watch for spring 2011? I think they are supposed to start posting today if grades are turned in by professors.

  6. Make this paper an open source blog with editorial discretion so that it is easy for all students to write things and get it posted quickly/easily. Or, at least encourage people to write their own stuff for the paper.

  7. Detail what exactly the new administration is doing to increase the US News ranking. No one pressured the Garvey administration which led to the fall in the rankings in the early 2000s. Let’s not allow that to happen again.

  8. Thank you for providing some good resources! I think it’d be great if y’all could beef up the “Professor Guide” section. I like how you sometimes mention a study guide that many students found helpful in that particular professor’s class. Could you do this for each of the professors?

I’m not sure how much disclosure y’all feel comfortable giving on a webiste, but I’d love to also hear additional tips such as “attending this prof’s office hours is especially helpful, since they oftentimes allude to exam questions,” or “make sure you thoroughly work through the problems laid out in the book, since this prof pulls his exam questions from them,” etc.
