Announcing March Madness Tournament to benefit PILF

It’s that time of year — time to get your brackets on.  The Sports and Entertainment Law Society is proud to sponsor a fundraiser to benefit the Public Interest Law Foundation.  Entry fees are $5; there are gift certificates up for grabs for the top three finishers.  Additionally, 1Ls have the opportunity to identify their section.  The top section will receive a breakfast sponsored by Eagleionline!  Check back on eaglei often for breaking news and results.  More on rules, prizes and procedure after the jump.

The prizes for top finishers are: a $50 gift certificate to Union Street Restaurant in Newton Centre for first place, a $30 gift certificate to the bookstore for second, and a $20 gift certificate to Starbucks for the runner-runner-up.  The section breakfast will be determined by adding the finish of each section’s top three teams (lowest number wins), so, theoretically, one section might beat another just by having their 4th best finisher beat another section’s 3rd best.

SELS will be in the cafeteria from 12-2pm today (Tuesday) and Wednesday to collect entry fees.  Entries made online without an entry fee will be deleted before the beginning of the first round.  Check eagleionline.com for breaking news on current leaders, big upsets, and the Battle of the Sections.  Entries can be made online here.  Spread the word!
