Law Student Association January Newsletter

Dear students:
Here is our January monthly newsletter!

Events Occurring in January:
LSA First Annual Speed Interviewing Program:
Do you need to brush up on your interview skills of want to help out a 1L who does? On Wednesday, January 28th, from 5-7pm, the LSA will hold the First Annual Speed Interviewing Program for 1Ls and 2Ls in the Yellow Room. We invite you to sign up to either be interviewed by 3Ls or to conduct mock interviews of 1Ls as part of this program.

The Program will be set up much like speed dating to simulate the experience of having several back-to-back screening interviews. During the first hour, 1Ls and 2Ls will spend three 20-minute increments in mock interviews, each time with different interviewers. Only 3Ls will interview 2Ls, and both 2Ls and 3Ls will interview 1Ls. The 1L and 2L interviewees will rotate among the interviewers at the sound of a bell or whistle. After the first hour, we will hold an hour-long Q&A session. Food will be provided.

The program is open to interviewees on a first-sign-up/first-serve basis. If you are a 2L or 3L and are interested in participating as a mock interviewer or mock interviewee, you must sign up by Monday January 19th by contacting Jane Shtilman at shtilman@bc.edu. 1Ls, you will be able to sign up for an interview slot after receiving an email on Monday, January 19th. If you have any questions, please contact Jane Shtilman at shtilman@bc.edu.
